Pit Stop at East Side King in front of the Grackle.
What I had:
Nasu Rice $5 Grilled Eggplant, Sweet miso, sesame seeds, and green onions on top.
Instant Ramen Noodle $6 with pork belly, poached egg, green onions and kimchee
Pork Ribs $9 Grilled pork ribs, tare, sesame seeds and green onions
My top pick was the tricked out ramen…perfect after a night of drinks!
New mexican spice rubbed pork tenderloin with
Bourbon ancho chili sauce, sweet potato tamale, crushed pecan butter.
8 ounces of juicy, perfectly grilled meat…could’ve used a lil less blue cheese though.
Mood: tired and under the weather.
Food: Korean fusion. There’s something comforting and satisfying about a big plate of spicy pork ribs. I gravitate towards veggies when I’m not feeling 100%…stuff like grilled mushrooms and bell peppers, garden grown green onions, seasoned sesame leaves, and anything green and leafy. I’d eat a lot healthier if I was under the weather more often. How ironic.
